A Getaway Or A Vacation

This is a question worth asking. Are you simply planning a vacation or an all out get away?

A getaway from your problems, your responsibilities, your family and your job?

It is okay to admit that you wish to make an escape from the burden that you have been carrying. It is okay to admit that you are feeling a bit burned out. Admitting it allows you to do something about it.

What I am here to suggest to you is that you need to take a vacation. A short one or long one. As long as you hit the road with an understanding of why you are doing it.

If it is a get away then you will be smart enough to leave the unfinished business behind you. It will wait until you get back. Leave the phone turned off. Nothing good can come from turning it on. Trust me on this one. That phone will be the way that all the worries you left behind track you down. Does an escaped prisoner call back to the prison to see if anyone is feeding the plants. Part of getting away is letting go.

Next you will have to decide how you wish to make your escape and how far you wish to go.

Will a drive to an upstate Inn be enough?

A bus trip to the city or county?

A long train trip with your own private car?

A cruise offers days and nights of endless blue waters?

A plane ride to an exotic location that you have dreamed about visiting?

Make a choice.

Plan you escape and go for it. Just don’t let the guards find out about it.
